Self Assessment
I like student self-assessment because it encourages learners to take ownership of their growth. When students reflect on their work, they develop critical thinking and become more aware of their strengths and areas for improvement. It shifts the focus from grades to learning, helping them build confidence and set meaningful goals. Self-assessment also promotes independence and accountability, key skills both in and out of the classroom. As a teacher, it gives me insight into how students perceive their progress, allowing me to support them more effectively. Ultimately, it empowers students to become active participants in their own learning journey.
